Description
The Helion series of programmable hybrid power supplies offers a highly flexible combination of up to 6 channels and freely configurable AC/DC modules in a compact 3U chassis. Thanks to the innovative, adaptive modular design and plug-and-play quick installation, power modules can be flexibly swapped out while the system automatically detects the module types.
The series is ideal for testing common topologies such as AC/AC, AC/DC, DC/AC, and DC/DC. It is the optimal solution for development and quality assurance in the fields of microinverters, home energy storage, portable energy storage, household appliances, and industrial electronics.

AC Modules (Mains Simulation & AC Source/Load)
Regenerative linear & nonlinear load simulation (AC Source/Load Module only). In load mode, the following operating modes are available: CC, CP, CR, RLC, and PQ.
Simulation of nonlinear loads with integrated 2-, 6-, 12-, 18-, and 24-pulse waveforms as well as various half-wave modes (crest factor adjustable from 1.414 to 5).
12 integrated RLC network models for precise replication of linear load characteristics.
DC Modules (Bidirectional Source & Regenerative Load)
Two-quadrant operation (automatic source/load switching). Seamless, delay-free transition between DC source mode and regenerative load mode, effectively preventing voltage or current overshoots.
Four-quadrant output modes include Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Current (CC), Constant Power (CP), and Constant Resistance (CR – bidirectional module only). Automatic, formula-based switching when preset limits are reached.
Exact replication of the I-V characteristics of solar panels for static and dynamic MPPT tests according to EN50530, Sandia, CGC/GF004, and CGC/GF035. Supports partial shading and up to 4096 integrated curve points.
Real-time simulation of the charging/discharging and output characteristics of various battery types, including LiMn₂O₄, LiCoO₂, LiFePO₄, NiMH, ternary Li, LiTiO₂, and lead-acid batteries via configurable RC models.
Fast import and export of static characteristic curve data directly via the USB interface on the front panel.
